A rotten

Core

Browned and

Leathery

You can smell

The tangy aroma

If you breathe deep enough

Toss me down

And walk away

When you turn around

I will have grown

Sturdy and blossomed again

You’ll see my reflection

Deep rooted

And perfectly me

This time

You will reckon

What I gave up

To give you

Ended up

Passing us

  6. Sorry if I don’t find the words. It’s powerful. A “like” hidden among others might not work, but what else do we have to say that we truly like something? So you know, though in silence many times lately, I read you.
