Presence – May 3, 2020

I want to sit by her grave

soak in the sun

And feel her warmth

Put it’s arms around me

I want to ride the wind

Brushing the leaves from her name

Running my fingers

Down and around

each letter

~~~
In my head
Over and over again
~~~

I want to look over my shoulder

Feeling the presence

Of what’s no longer there

Knowing she’s been there

All along

      1. I am more than humbled by your comment. Thank you for introducing me to Pablo Neruda. I read through some of his poetry, and I really like how he sees and interprets life. ‘I do not love you except because I love you’ and ‘your laughter’ were two that really drew me in. Thank you ♥️😊. I will keep reading his work.

      2. I’ve kept reading…and I think it’s the intense longing and restless soul searching that has hooked me. Your compliment overwhelms me…maybe one day I can be as mesmerizing with words as Pablo Neruda ♥️. Thank you is not enough. Hope your Monday is going well.
