It’s how I see you
Whole
And kind
With an outer shell
That sometimes
Keeps you from your own heart
Blind
And focused
I see you
For the person you are
And have always been
The little you
So full of life
And smiling
The cracks
That have been so carefully placed
Shaping everything
Loved and hated
Beautiful poem Doree. You popped into my mind yesterday. I hope you are having a great day.

Thank you so much. The day is good, but it is turning cold here fast. And all the trees seemed to dump their leaves yesterday. So now instead of looking up to see the beauty, I find myself looking down…under the best of terms.
I hope the same for you 😊

We lost most of our leaves last week on a very windy day. That’s all it took! Things are good. I’m keeping busy in the studio and getting the garden ready for winter! Glad to hear you are well!

Just wonderful. I read it out aloud. I don’t know why, but it felt good to do it that way and it worked. “I see you /For the person you are / And have always been / The little you / So full of life”
Simply wonderful 💚

Sometimes I wonder if people read poems out loud, like I do 😊. I usually read it through once in my head (trying to figure out the mood of the piece), and a second time out loud, and I love when a rhythm emerges…it’s almost music with words.
Thank you for sharing this, I am so very happy you enjoyed the feeling ❤️

Realism filled with genuine feelings. As I read the verses a second time, the meaning continued to evolve.
