This landscape has changed

I look out my window

And everything is the same

It’s all wrapped around my head

Choking the life

I hold so dear

Suffocating

The beauty

That I once saw

I’m blinded

By all this madness

And just want to crawl beneath my covers

Suck in the air

Breathed out in a heated mess

Flip my lid

Let’s forge ahead

Into an abyss

Unknown

And resurface

A changed being
