Quiet, Light, and Stars
I sat today, in the quiet
The sun was dappled across my body
A pillow on top of my lap
Rays lighting up tiny particles floating around me
Two kids home from school
Breakfast and back up to their respective spaces
It’s quiet
As the particles passed my face at the speed of light in slow motion
I sat
Alone in the quiet light
Thinking about the stars
